Heavenly Bodies must be awesome by now! Eighties Toronto and leotards...
I know we can't bring ourselves to talk about video too much around here, but can I just give a shout-out to Key Video, a specialty label of CBS/FOX in the eighties that put out a lot of their obscure art/b-movie holdings; Stranger Than Paradise, the 1966 Batman, the mighty Prime Cut, Altman's Quintet, the 100% berserk Ryan O'Neal gambling picture Fever Pitch and yes, Heavenly Bodies, and all with the same garish rainbow packaging design.

I loved that they tried to market this as a legitimate film rather than 80's soft core. But give it up for the girl anyway. She's trying to save the gym. Go get 'em!
AND it was written by Ron Base, the film critic for the Toronto Star at the time - he was no Paul Attanasio...
Ron Base is no relation to Rob Base of 'Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock', who himself was not to be confused with the Toronto radio station EZ Rock.
This brings back memories. Forgettable film, but it was the first R-rated movie to play at the theater I worked at in the 80s. I still have the newspaper clipping!
