すぐに低俗な映画を劇場に近くに来る

低俗な映画のような私。ラスベガスでの日本の歌手のような私。私は黒と白のシネマスコープのように。

update on the 99cent Roxy

Remember my earlier post, The Original 99 Cent Roxy... today ? Well, truth be told, those pictures where from Easter. Below is more of a representation of what it looks like today. No idea what is happening to it, but looks like some big changes. And for those who don't know, The Roxy was at Danforth & Greenwood in Toronto.

just add creme de menthe...

Legalize It!

He's a complicated man, and no one understands him but his woman... Serge Gainsbourg.

Does anyone know where I can score some Cannabis? I mean on DVD, dig?

MF KONG!

This is currently for sale and if anybody wants to sorta get it for me, that would be really sweet of you. Contact me and I can set you up with the seller. There would be copious amounts of thanks given and you could come see it now and then if you called ahead of time and stuff. It's an original French 2 panel, it's gorgeous and nearly eight feet wide!

Toronto: The Glory Days

I am primed about tomorrow night's screening at Cinematheque of three short films documenting Toronto's original Broken Social Scene - sixties Yorkville (Robin Spry's Flowers on a One Way Street) and seventies Rochdale (Ron Mann's Dream Tower), plus a reel of footage Mann shot on a Bolex of Yonge Street in the bad old days of the Biltmore, the Rio and the Coronet! I am so ready for a time capsule of life in Toronto when I was very young... I look forward to a night of red and gold TTC buses and yellow cop cars whizzing past the lens...and hopefully there will be a shot of a Harvey Wallbanger steakhouse...

What'd he expect?!

a mighty and broad statement

A snap taken by my pal Shan that he posted on FB from the Prince Charles Cinema in London. I do beg to differ on that statement...

Claudia Jennings 30 years gone

To mark the 30th anniversary of Claudia Jenning's death, I am taking part in the Temple Of Schlock's Claudia Jennings Weekend Blog-a-Thon and I'm not about to waste any time explaining anything about her as, hopefully, others who are properly well-versed will do those types of things. Here, I'll just be occupying your time for a few moments and hopefully your eyes will be given some small joy from these terrific posters for her films.
